The Rx Cookbook: Cancer-Fighting Recipes, Restaurants & Markets in Texas

The American diet has worsened in the last 30 years.

Today chronic inflammatory diseases—cancer, heart disease, obesity—strain our healthcare system.

The Rx Cookbook has unique recipes and info to promote the benefits of anti-inflammatory diets for all.

The recipes in The Rx Cookbook, formulated by Executive Chef Iverson Brownell, incorporate herbs, spices, and other anti-inflammatory ingredients.

Researchers behind The Rx Cookbook, an outgrowth of the Rx for Better Breast Health project, strongly believes that daily exposure to anti-inflammatories may help to prevent cancer, its recurrence, and generally reduce the risk for other inflammation-driven diseases.

We sincerely thank Susan G. Komen for funding the Rx project and our fantastic program participants for tasting, cooking, and trying out these recipes at home, and sharing their own recipes.

We hope you will use The Rx Cookbook to help reverse dietary imbalance and prevent inflammatory disease.
